BLUES FEST 2013
The seventh Annual Blues Fest at the Bale of Hay Saloon in Virginia City MT is August 23-25. It’s a chance to catch some great electric blues that will get you up and grooving.
Kicking off the three day Fest on Friday night at 9pm is Mo Hippa. The band was formed in Bozeman in 2010 and is as easy on the dance steps as it is on the ears. Fronted by Dave Roberts on vocals and guitar whose soulful voice is refreshing while still honoring the tradition of blues legends. Backed by Oscar Dominguez on keyboards and bass, and Mark Levy on drums, both native New Yorkers who bring a rich blend of experiences and talent to the show.
Saturday at 9pm Livingston’s own Shuffle Bums takes over the Bale with their classic 1959-era blues. They will rock the house with everything from well-known to nearly forgotten blues tunes.
Join us on Sunday from 10 am to 1pm on the patio under the big tent for Blues and Brunch. The Quarry Road Band is a Helena MT band playing everything from Clapton to The Allman Brothers and Joe Bonnamassa to Pure Prairie League. This three piece band is well received by dancers and listeners, young and old alike. Great harmonies and tight, well rehearsed music.
